What is the Harlequins fundraising site plan?

The site plan of Harlequins club has been divided into 3,200 blocks, each individual block represents funds donated to help build a better future for Harlequins. For a company advertising it represents a chance to put their logo in Harlequins history. This logo will then be hyperlinked back to the donor company's web-site, allowing visitors to www.corkharlequins.com to visit the sites of our company advertisers. Companies who take space in the plan are also eligible for a series of raffles over 3 years.

Why is the Harlequins fundraising site plan particularly relevant to companies?

For a company the fundraising site plan represents an opportunity to advertise for a period of 5 years at a low cost. It offers companies a chance to put their logo in Harlequins history. The company's logo will then be hyperlinked back to the donor company's web-site, allowing visitors to www.corkharlequins.com to visit the sites of our company advertisers. Companies who purchase advertising space in the plan are also entered into a series of raffles which run for a period of three years.

What are the major benefits to companies advertising within the site plan

A number of the major benefits to advertising within the Harlequins fundraising site plan are outlined below e.g:

1. Increased awareness of your company logo, to users of www.corkharlequins.com, with detailed information on your company just a click away. Users of www.corkharlequins.com can access your web-site simply by clicking anywhere on your company logo within the searchable PDF file (Due to the Hyperlink functionality incorporated within the PDF file).

2. Increased awareness of your company logo (through the BILLBOARD of the site plan, mounted on the side of our clubhouse), to the many varied users of Cork Harlequins as a social and training facility. These users range from social members who use the clubhouse and its facilities to members who use the Harlequins to train or play matches on our cricket pitch or all weather surfaces, for sports including hockey, cricket, soccer, rugby, hurling and table tennis etc. And of course visiting teams and supporters.

3. Generates good will and positive associations between Cork Harlequins and your company. Club members awareness of your company and its product/service increased.

Where on the site plan should companies purchase space?

Companies have a choice of where they would like to purchase space within the site plan. A selection can be made from any of the numbered blocks still available in the Harlequins fundraising site plan. Companies may have different reasons for purchasing in different areas e.g:

1. Some companies may like to be associated with hockey, cricket and/or soccer, so that may influence the decision to locate their logo on the cricket pitch or one of our two astro turf pitches.

2. Areas of the club such as the clubhouse and car park may be more particularly relevant to companies whose product and/or service has a link with this aspect of a club.

What is the cost for purchasing space within the Harlequins Fundraising Site Plan? (Benefits Increase as Your Companies Contribution Increases)

€250 (10 Blocks); is the minimum purchase for a company, this represents 10 blocks of advertising space within the site plan. For this price your logo is included within the site plan and hyperlinked back to your company web-site.

€500 (20 Blocks); at this level of contribution additional benefits accrue to your company; your company logo is TWICE the size of a 10 block advert in the site plan, therefore, INCREASING VISIBILITY within the site plan. ADDITIONALLY at this contribution level you will also receive an advert on the left hand side of our homepage for a period of 1 YEAR, hence maximising brand awareness and hits for your web-site.

€750 (30 Blocks); at this level of contribution additional benefits accrue to your company; your company logo is THREE TIMES the size of a 10 block advert in the site plan, therefore FURTHER INCREASING VISIBILITY within the site plan. ADDITIONALLY at this contribution level you will also receive an advert on the left hand side of our homepage for a period of 2 YEARS, hence maximising brand awareness and hits for your web-site.

€1,000 (40 Blocks); at this level of contribution additional benefits accrue to your company; your company logo is FOUR TIMES the size of a 10 block advert in the site plan, therefore MAXIMISING VISIBILITY within the site plan. ADDITIONALLY at this contribution level you will also receive an advert on the left hand side of our homepage for a period of 3 YEARS, hence maximising brand awareness and hits for your web-site.

NOTE: 40 Block adverts will take preference over 30 Block and 20 Block contributors in relation to the homepage advert. 40 block contributors will be placed in the top left hand corner, on a first come first served basis, and will have a 3 year life-span from the day of purchase.

How do I order space within the site plan?

You can order space within the site plan via our online order form (click here to open). This form will send a message to our site map sales team, who will then contact you via e-mail to give you your order number and confirm for you that the blocks you have ordered are available. Blocks will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

What details do we need to enter your Company on the site plan?

We require a high quality JPG Image of your company Logo that will be scaled and resized to reflect the size of your purchase within the site plan.

We also require a contact name, mobile number and e-mail address so that we can contact you in the event of your winning a prize in the raffle. This information will be kept in confidence by the site plan co-ordinator in Harlequins and will not be made available to any third party. This information can be sent to buildingblocks@corkharlequins.com and our site co-ordinator will contact you on receipt.

How can I pay for my purchases?

Cash: can be paid to any of the Management committee in Harlequins, please include a note quoting your order number. For a list of the Management Committee please click here.

Cheque: made payable to Cork Harlequins Club, and posted to Cork Harlequins Hockey Club, Farmers Cross, Cork, Republic of Ireland. Please enclose your order number. Harlequins do not take responsibility for any cheques that are lost in the post

A bank transfer facility is also available, details of which will be sent to customers who reserve their blocks on line.

What can I win in the raffle?

No 1: €2,000 worth of cash prises when the site plan is full, e.g. 1st = €1,000, 2nd €500 etc

No 2: Continuous draws for sets of 2 tickets for IHL league Home matches, ISC, IJC etc.

No 3: Continuous draws for sets of tickets to Harlequins functions e.g. Fancy Dress, Christmas Party etc

Additional Note:

Companies can claim a deduction for their donations as a trading expense in their annual accounts. This expense reduces a company's net profit for the year in which the donation is made. Therefore, there is a Corporation tax saving of 12.5% for trading companies or 25% for investment companies.
