Quins made a very good start to the Club championships with a very good 3 nil victory against Cookstown.

Five minutes into the game David Eakins on the right wing threw a very accurate overhead pass to Lee d'Alton who was unmarked at the back post. Lee controlled the ball first time and drilled an unstoppable shot past the Cookstown keeper.

Seventeen minutes into the 2nd half David Egner put Quins 2 up with a very well struck shot from close range. Paul Lombard created the chance with a fine run and pass from the backline. Seven minutes later David Eakins powerful drag flick from a corner secured the 3 points.

The Quins backline played very well and restricted Cookstown to very few chances throughout the game.
