Cup Quarter Final 14:00 Sunday 4th Feb 07 Quins played some excellent attacking hockey in this game and won with goals towards the end of both halves. Despite having a weakened side out due to work and injuries, the girls attacked withh vigour and skill, to dominate possession and the game. The first goal came in the 28minute when Denise got the ball on the 25 [left] and ran along the endline up to the keeper who saved her goalbound effort. However Laoise was their in a flash to tuck home the breaking goal, to her and her teammates delight. Indeed the goal, which ended her goal drought, was well deserved for the performance of the young talented winger, who's pace was a constant threat to the Belvedere backline. Despite this dominance and goal, Quins didn't kill off the game until the 67minute, when Zita won the ball on the 25 [right] and fed the ball up the line to her captain Kate. Kate's early ball found Laoise in space at the top of the circle and her shot was on target. Nevertheless, Trish [Moloney] appeared from knowhere and delfected the ball in the opposite direction, to leave the keeper stranded. Overall it was a well deserved victory and special mention should go the new young players, Trish [Cahill] and Erica who stepped up from the 4th to put in good displays. Quins win 2 - 0 to progress to semi-final away to Moyne on Feb 17th 2007
