On Sunday 16th Harlequins 4ths progressed to the next stage of the Barber Cup by beating Midleton 'B' 5-4. Quins went ahead early on from a Mark Egner strike only to see Midleton equalize soon after. Quins found themself infront again from a Dave Shine shot and led 2-1 at the break.

Midleton squared the match up soon after the interval. With the score at 2-2 Mark Egner found himself one-on-one with the keeper but was illegally taken down by a Midleton defender. David Gash converted the resulting stroke. For the third time in the match Midleton found an equalizer, but soon after Mark Egner had the Quins side infront yet again. A win was confirmed when David Gash's reverse stick shot found the backboard from a tight angle. Before the close Midleton got a fourth but Quins hung on for the win.
