Harlequins 3rds doubled their points total for the season with a score draw at home to Midleton 'A'. Quins faced a very strong Midleton side, who had got the better of them 3-0 in the opening match of the season. Quins fought hard throughout and broke the deadlock with a Stephen Dale goal. The scores were soon leveled after a Midleton player was illegally tackled in the Quins circle, resulting in a converted stroke. Quins looked destined for another defeat until Dickie Barrett fired home from the top of the circle and Ivan Bateman slotted home in the dying minutes to ensure a share of the points.
