Quins went down to Bandon on Saturday after a poor display which could have much worse except for a double penalty save by Skinty. From the very start Quins seemed to have their minds on next weeks cup match and even though the game was tight early on, Bandon slowly got on top. Midway through the first half, Bandon were awarded a stroke, but Skinty saved well, albeit from a poor stroke! Shortly after Bandon's pressure told and they finally scored to take a 1-0 lead in at half time.

The second half started badly when Bandon scored their second goal. When Bandon were awarded a second stroke less than 5 minutes later, it looked as if Quins could have been on the end of a trouncing. But again Skinty came to the rescue and from then Quins came back into the game. But with the Bandon keeper in top form, we couldn't get the goal to get us back into the game. Eventually with 6 minutes to go, a Dave Deady shot was finished to the net by Killian Deasy, but it was too late to make a difference to the result. A disappointing result but Quins II are still in 3rd place in Division 1 and will hope to stay there.
