Quins began strongly & had 2 corners in the first 5 minutes but the Belvedere keeper saved both efforts. Belvedere opened the scoring in the 9th minute when poor defending allowed Paul Murray pick up the ball close to goal. Wes saved his first effort but couldn't keep out the rebound. Shortly after this Belvedere were again in on goal but were thwarted by a very good save from Wes. Quins eventually equalised in the 20th minute when Paul Lombard s shot from close to the goal line beat keeper at the near post. Quins took the lead 3 minutes before half time when Richard Gashs powerful reverse stick shot was touched home at the far post by David Egner .

Early in the second half a short corner switch was flicked high to the net by Richard Gash (2nd minute). Following some good work Philip McLaughlin put Brian Hayes Curtin in on goal but his shot was saved by the keeper. David Eakins picked up the rebound & scored with a sweep shot from the top of the circle in the 23rd minute. David Eakins completed the scoring from a short corner in the 28th minute.
