The firsts scored six second half goals to run out comfortable winners in this inter club league match. The firsts dominated possession from early in the game but found it very difficult to break down a very determined second team in the first half. The firsts were awarded only two corners in the first half - one well saved & the other wide of the target. A half a dozen good scoring chances were created from play but weren't converted due to some fine goalkeeping by Skinty & a very well organised seconds defence.

Four goals were scored in the opening 14 minutes of the second half with the firsts applying a lot more controlled pressure. In the second minute of the half Richard Gash scored with a well worked corner from close range. David Lombard scored two field goals in the 8th & 12th minutes. The second one was a powerfully struck shot, following a clever pass from brother Paul. David Eakins converted a penalty stroke in the 14th minute. The stroke was awarded when a goal bound corner from Mark Black hit a defender on the goal line. The final two goals were scored with four minutes remaining in the game. Mark Black found Paul Lombard with a fine pass & Paul finished well from close range. David Egner got on the end of a corner to finish the scoring in the final minute.
