Peard Cup Final

Quins came up just short in their efforts to retain the Peard Cup in a very well fought game at Garryduff. In the first half there were chances for both sides with goalkeepers coming out on top. Wes controlled his circle superbly & made a couple of fine saves. Quins had a number of opportunities but failed to get decisive touches when well placed. Also, the short corner situations didn't yield any success. Quins looked to have taken the lead when Jason finished a corner rebound to the goal, only to be called back by the umpire who awarded another corner!

In the second half it was again nip & tuck with CofI scoring the only goal of the match from a corner mid way through the half. Quins pressed right to the end & had a opportunity from a corner right at the end but it was well saved.
