Quins started this game in great style & were unlucky not to be two goals up within the first five minutes. David Egner, with a sharp turn & shot & Edward Gash, with a deft touch both saw their offorts come back off the post with the keeper beaten. Two minutes later & David Egner's shot from the top of the circle found the roof of the net over the diving keeper. John Hobbs scored from a short corner in the 14th minute. A couple of minutes later & a lapse of concentration in the home defense allowed U.C.C.in to score. Quins responded in style & Stephen Sweetnam was on the stop the deflect a powerful cross past the keeper. This was Stephen's first goal for the firsts. Quins continued to play good attacking hockey & made it 4-1 when Edward Gash was on hand to touch a short corner move to the goal.
