Playing their first competitive fixture for 3 weeks Quins didn't fire on all cylinders for parts of this game. The work rate & attitude was first class from the off but a lack of sharpness at vital moments frustrated many opportunities. Quins dominated possession but failed to make it count on the scoreboard until Eaks corner conversion on 13 minutes. UCC put up very strong resistance in defence & were always looking for the swift counter attack.

Two minutes into the second half Dave Egner made it two when he was on hand to touch home Phil O'Driscoll's fine pass at the far post. In the 13th minute Ducks scored the third when his run was picked out by a superb pass from Paul. Ducks rounded the keeper & swept the ball home from close range. After this it was Dave Egner who took the plaudits when he scored 3 goals in three minutes, all from play to make the final score 6-0.
