The firsts beat the seconds in a very hard fought league match on Sunday. The seconds really competed strongly for possession all over the field & created a couple of very good chances in the first 15 minutes. Wes had to be really sharp in pulling off a couple of fine saves. The firsts scored after 17 minutes following some quick thinking from John Aherne. He played a quick one two with Ducks & from the top of the circle found the bottom corner of the goal.

Into the second half & Eaks scored with a fine strike from a corner after 4 minutes. This gave the firsts a bit of breathing space but the seconds continue to cause problems & Wes again produced a fine save at a corner. Eaks settled the game with a very good finish after 21 minutes. The last goal was scored by Ducks with an excellent strike from the top of the circle 8 minutes from time. The seconds produced probably their best performance of the season to date & the firsts scored 4 really good goals.
