Quins had a very successful outing to Galway last Saturday. Quins dominated possession from the off but had very little to show for it early on. Galway defended in numbers & made it difficult for players to get good strikes on goal. Jason Black opened the scoring after 10 minutes when he smartly rebounded a short corner to the goal. The second goal didn't arrive until the 31st minute when Eaks scored with a short corner which left the Galway keeper helpless.

In the second half sharper passing & more constructive movement off the ball was the order of the day. In the 3rd minute Eaks finished off a well constructed short corner move. Locky scored with a good finish in the 17th minute & Eaks made it 4 a minute later with another short corner. Ducks scored in the 25th minute at the end of another good passing move. In the 28th minute Brian Hayes Curtin scored with a good clean strike on goal after an excellent pass from Ducks. Sean Nicholson scored his first goal of the season in the 31st minute when he got on the end of a cross at the far post (he was centre back at the time!).
