Quins maintained their recent good form when they came from behind to defeat Cobh by 2 goals to 1. The game was also notable for the league debuts of Robert Green & Eoin Kennedy. Both played very well & Robert scored the winner. Quins began slowly & took a while to get to grips with the game. Cobh took the lead after 17 minutes with a very good strike from a short corner. Quins equalised 7 minutes later with an excellent finish from Mick O'Driscoll, who had been put through by Robert Green. Mick true to his word scored goal number 20 for the season.

Into the second half & Quins began to have a lot more of the play. Many chances were created but were thwarted time & time again by some excellent keeping from Eddie Ryan in the Cobh goal. Eventually with 7 minutes remaining Robert Green pounced on a rebound to sweep the ball home from a very difficult angle.
