This was a very good & sporting encounter. Quins began strongly but failed to convert 3 very good scoring opportunities. David Curtin was causing a lot of problems for the Belvedere with his very strong running on the right wing. Belvedere launched a number of swift counter attacks & took the lead with a fine goal after 20 minutes. Quins equalised 10 minutes later when Kevin Cullinane converted a penalty stroke. Belvedere looked to have taken the lead just before half time but Kevin Quinlan pulled off an outstanding save. Into the second half & Quins took the lead then Davi Curtin touched the ball past the keeper after the keeper had saved from Paul d'Alton. 10 minutes later Quins went 3-1 to the good, following good play by Paul d'Alton & Mick O'Driscoll, Andrew Sullivan touched the ball home. Belvedere made it 3-2 from a penalty stroke, after Kevin Cullinane played the ball with the back of the stick at the top of the circle. 7 minutes from time Andrew Sullivan's cross was finished to the net with style by Mick O'Driscoll. It was Mick's 19th goal of the season.
