The 4ths up & down season continued with an 8-3 victory against Ashton. David Shine returned to the fold, following injury & produced another exciting performance. We also had the D'Altons Paul & Lee, even though we didn't have Paul for long as his old injury problems were to the fore again. The players missing through injury this week were; Kevin Cullinane, Andy Kerr & again Hugh Rothwell. Having started well on top we found ourselves level at 2-2 25 minutes into the game. We then scored another couple but conceded another sloppy goal before half time. Hugh Rothwell gave the team a major dressing down at half time & said he had never seen such rubbish. His comments had the desired result & the team gave a much tighter performance in the second half. Man of the match had to be Mick with 5 goals. Lee D'Alton also deserves special mention for a very competitive performance on the right of midfield.
