A very well deserved victory by the seconds who followed up on their good results of the last couple of weeks with their best performance of the season to date. They were inspired by the excellent Ducksie Lombard who controlled the game from the centre of mid-field.

The first goal came in the 12th minute from a short corner that was switched left & finished to high into the roof of the net by David Deady. Harlequins stayed on top for the remainder of the half & were unlucky when the umpire ruled out a fine finish to a short corner by Ducksie.

Into the second half (9th minute) & a sweeping moved down the right hand side was finished with style by David Egner. Quins increased the lead in the 17th minute of the half when Ducksie drove the ball low into the bottom corner of the goal from another short corner. Quins continued to dominate possession & squandered several opportunities to increase their lead. UCC who worked very hard throughout the game scored a very good goal from play in the final minute.
