Harlequins retained the Munster Senior Cup with a fine 3-0 victory over C of I. Quins took the lead after 21 minutes following good play on the right side of the pitch between Sean Nicholson & David Eakins. Eaks released Sean
with a superb pass & Sean beat a couple of players in the circle to set up Ducksie Lombard who pushed the ball home from close range.

C of I responded with a number of short corners but found Wesley Bateman, who was in inspired form, unbeatable. Quins went 2 up on the stroke of half time with another excellent move. Eaks was again involved with a great overhead pass & Ducksie finished the move with a powerful shot.

In the second half Quins continued to defend strongly & created some excellent scoring opportunities with some very good counter attacks. 6 minutes from time another tremendous overhead pass across the pitch from Eaks, was instantly controlled & swept into the circle by Jason Black to Richard Gash who deftly touched the ball past the advancing keeper to the net.
